Guardian Angel and Unconditional Cat Litter 100% natural pine litter is high heat treated for extreme absorbency.  This high temperature processing produces a clean and safe litter / bedding and, contributes to a natural caking of the litter at the wetspot.  While our litter will not clump as tightly as a sodium bentonite ( the regular clumping clay in Tidy Cat and other litter brands) or a litter with "clumping agents" added (see danger of clumping litter) the wet spot will congeal so the soaked litter can be easily removed.  Additionally, this high heat treatment removes risk of allergens or oils.  Remember, what is in the litter box will end up on your kitty paws, your stairs, your kitchen counter or your bed.
